Director’s Letter – Newsletter – July 2016

Dear Libros Schmibros Nation (or at least County),

We have some good news. You can probably guess that the novels of Gabriel García Márquez have consistently numbered among the most circulated here at our lending library on Mariachi Plaza. There’s even a street named after the author of “Cien años de soledad” in Boyle Heights a few blocks away.

Well, the Ford Amphitheatre has accepted our proposal for a 50th anniversary screening, on August 5, of the classic, too little remembered Mexican western “Tiempo de Morir” written by Gabriel García Márquez (with an assist from the great Mexican man of letters Carlos Fuentes).
