Libros Schmibros Hosts a Reading

So much has happened since the first post six weeks ago (we opened our doors, lent a ton of books, got talked up on KUSC, KPCC and blogs aplenty, and scored a snazzy new sign from the genius artist next door) that it almost feels like time to post again. Plus, there’s news: our first reading tomorrow! Elaine Elinson and Stan Yogi will lead a virtual tour of Southern California civil rights history and read from their Heyday book “Wherever There’s a Fight.” Fall by!

When: Sat, September 11, 7 p.m.
Where: Libros Schmibros Lending Library/Used Bookshop, 2000 E. 1st St., Boyle Heights.

  1. I am so sorry I missed this. I learned of Libros Schmibros a few weeks ago, and was unable to find anything on-line owing to the misspelling I made when jotting down the name. A bit more research led me to the correctly spelled search results and—¡viola!—I arrived just in time to learn I missed a great event.

I look forward to attending those in the future, now that I now where to look! And just down the street in Boyle Heights to boot.

  2. I’m interested in whatever speakers and events you plan. This is a wonderful
endeavor! I listen to KPCC all the time. I don’t know how I missed this!
